1. Does Little Professors Education Group follow the MOE school syllabus?

As we are one of the registered schools with Ministry of Education (MOE), we do ensure that our teachers follow closely to the school syllabus approved by the Ministry of Education for all levels.

2. How do you differentiate between the academically weaker and stronger students?
Do you place all the students in the same class?

We do place all students of the same level in the same class regardless of whether the student is weaker or stronger academically. However, we adopt a strategy to ensure that students of higher learning abilities will be given more challenging exercises and have a head start for the syllabus.

Students who are academically weaker may be given extra tuition lessons at the teachers' discretion, to catch up on their peers.

3. What qualifications do your teachers have? How do you select your teachers?

Little Professors Education Group only select teachers with exceptional teaching qualifications. We do not compromise on the quality of our teaching staff. As part of our continual efforts to improve our teaching staff, we have recently added another four additional Curriculum Specialist Teachers with outstanding results in their PSLE, GCE 'O', 'A' Level and University Exams.

They have to go through several round of interviews with the subject curriculum specialist and the Managing Director/Principal. Teachers who are selected to teach in our centre will also undergo probation (minimum 1 year). All our teachers must be registered with the Ministry of Education (MOE) and be certified with a certificate of eligibility to teach in the tuition centre, given by the Ministry of Education (MOE).

4. Why doesn't Little Professors Education Group employ only current school teachers?

Little Professors Education Group does not believe in employing only current school teachers to teach in the tuition centre. There is a common perception among parents that current school teachers are better teachers. However, most current school teachers are too busy with their work in their schools that they do not have the time to prepare materials or lessons for effective tuition classes.

Moreover, school teachers have been trained to teach in a school environment, where the class size is about 40 students. In tuition centres, class size is much smaller, and each subject gets only 1.5 hrs per week. The same teaching method cannot be used in teaching tuition classes. Shorter teaching hours in tuition centres mean that lesson delivery has to be more precise and enriching. A different environment requires a different approach.

We have several students who switched from some tuition centres that employ school teachers to our tuition centre and their feedback was that the tuition class was conducted in the same way as they get in school, and since they need tuition because they do not understand in school, having another dose of the same thing does not help.

Therefore, Little Professors Education Group do not select teachers simply based on whether they are school teachers. We select those with the qualities to strive and excel under our kind of environment. All our teachers need to be trained internally to use our teaching system to achieve the results that we want.

5. What are the materials used to conduct the lessons?

At Little Professors Education Group, we believe in giving the most comprehensive and updated materials for use during lessons. We ensure that materials are sourced from various sources, including school exam questions and compiled topic-by-topic for students to have a feel of the type of materials / questions set by different schools.

Our Curriculum Specialist Teachers who are each specialized in their field of studies constantly develop and review the teaching materials in line with the MOE syllabus. Our teaching materials are developed in-house.
